The Centre for Supply Chain Leadership

The Centre for Supply Chain Leadership was launched on Tuesday 28th October 2008 by John McClelland, the author of an influential report into the reform of the procurement landscape in Scotland. It will offer training and development opportunities for small and medium sized enterprises in the run up to the Commonwealth Games and beyond.

The 21st Century has brought with it many opportunities as well as challenges for today’s aspiring supply chain professional.

Services available through the CSCL

Advisory Services - Following any needs analysis which is a free consultation, a Report and offer of Assistance Contract will be raised to aid your individual needs.
CIPS Training from Scotland’s only CIPS Centre of Excellence - Choose from a range of CIPS Programmes, which range from the Level 2 Introductory Certificate through to the Level 6 Graduate Diploma.
Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) in Supply Chain Management - The SVQ Level 3 and SVQ Level 4 in Supply Chain Management are intended for people working in the Supply Chain. Candidates will undertake SVQs for a variety of reasons; for personal development, to gain promotion or to prove their job competence.
Bespoke Training in Supply Chain Related Issues - City of Glasgow College offer bespoke procurement training programmes designed specifically for your organisation’s needs.
Contractual Mediation Services - You can engage with the CSCL if you have a contractual problem and seek advice on how to proceed.
Regular Forums - To ensure we stay close to industry, the College will engage with other businesses to discuss current supply chain related problems and use the expertise within the CSCL to help solve the issues of the day.
One to One Guidance - The College will give you assistance in trying to engage with Public Sector contracting including advice on the completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and Tender Presentations.
CIPS Branch Meeting Venue - Home to the local group of CIPS members who meet monthly.

The college’s relationship with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply spans over 20 years and we have steadily built our reputation up to a point where we are recognised as a world class Centre of Excellence, recently reaffirmed for the 13th year, in the recent audit visit and report.

This has given the college a platform upon which we have created our vision for the future: one that will transform the opportunities we have to expand the supply chain provision at City of Glasgow College.
