BIIAB Level 2 Award in Door Supervision (Scotland)
Overview
BIIAB Level 2 Award in Door Supervision (Scotland) course at City of Glasgow College will enable you to apply for a Door Supervisors License from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Anyone working in private security must be licensed.
You don’t need any formal qualifications but you should have a reasonable standard of spoken and written English. You’ll also have to be sufficiently fit, physically and emotionally, to practice the physical techniques.
There are also specific ID requirements for this course which will be provided to all prospective candidates.

The qualification consists of four modules:
- Working in the Private Security Industry
- Working as a Door Supervisor
- Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
- Physical Intervention (MAYBO Accredited)
Pass all four exams and you can apply to the SIA for a Door Supervisors Licence. Currently, the Door Supervisors licence will also allow you to work as a Security Guard. Check with SIA for current practice at their website - www.sia.homeoffice.gov.uk
