BIIAB Level 2 Award in Security Guarding (Scotland)
Overview
The BIIAB Level 2 Award in Security Guarding (Scotland) course at City of Glasgow College will enable you to apply for a Security Guarding License from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Anyone working in private security must be licensed.
You don’t need any formal qualifications but you should have a reasonable standard of spoken and written English.There are also specific ID requirements for this course which will be provided to all prospective candidates.

The subjects you cover include:
- Working in the Private Security Industry
- Working as a Security Guard
- Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
Each module is assessed by way of a multiple choice exam.
Pass all three exams and you can apply for a Security Guard Licence. Successful candidates can also upgrade to a Door Supervisor Award on completion of an additional 2 modules.
