Overview

Provides senior buyers, contract and supply chain managers with the expertise to improve organisational procurement and to fulfill organisational objectives. It gives you the knowledge base to reduce cost, improve quality and timescales, manage the supply chain and deal with legal issues.

The course includes a variety of teaching modules, structured tuition, and course materials. There will also be set CIPS exam papers with mock examinations using previous CIPS exam papers.

PLEASE NOTE: Cost is £467 per module.  The total cost for all 5 modules is £2,335.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • You must have achieved Level 4 award or been exempted or hold the CIPS (International) Advanced Certificate in Purchasing and Supply.
  • Exemptions allowed from four units, with the exception of the integrative unit (Improving Supply Chain Performance), unit by unit on content by prior qualification or experience.
  • Qualifications which have a relevant content must be Level 5 or above or their equivalent as determined by CIPS, such as a degree from an approved university. Only units/modules studied after one year of an undergraduate programme will be acceptable for consideration

Applicant exemptions are dealt with on an individual basis by CIPS.

  • Improving the Competitiveness of Supply Chains - September 6th 2017 to November 8th 2017.
  • Sustainability in Supply Chains - November 22nd 2017 to February 28th 2018.
  • Management in Procurement and Supply - April 18th 2018 to June 20th 2018.

Courses run on a Thursday evening from 5.30pm - 8.30pm

  • Managing Risks in Supply Chains - October 26th 2017 to January 18th 2018.
  • Category Management in Procurement and Supply - February 8th 2018 to May 10th 2018.

After the course

Careers

After completing the course, you can progress to the Level 6 Graduate Diploma.
