Overview

This course will help you to further develop skills in all areas of television production, including camera, sound, editing, sound dubbing and lighting. An ideal course if you are interested in TV, film, video, broadcast and working in a studio environment.

This stimulating, learner-focused course is delivered by highly professional teaching staff, with significant Television Industry experience. (For more help getting started in the television industry, visit the Royal Television Society).

You'll be awarded a HND in Creative Industries: Television on successful completion of the course.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • NQ or NC Media: TV or equivalent SVQ; OR
  • Higher English plus two National 5 Qualifications (or equivalent); OR
  • Relevant television experience

 

You'll be invited for a group and 1 to 1 interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you are interested in this subject. You'll also be asked to bring examples of your work.

Please note, places are very limited for second year entry and might not be available in any given year.

Careers

The Television Industry is expanding and there are opportunities for skilled graduates, both in broadcasting and with independent production companies.

Continuing Study

Students may progress to year three of BA (Hons) Television At City of Glasgow College, in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University, subject to interview and other conditions.
