Overview

This course will appeal to aspiring fiction writers, popular fiction enthusiasts.

Modern consumers crave quick fixes, e.g. viral YouTube clips, bite-size news, text messages, pop-up ads. It’s the same in the world of fiction.

This course will show you how to construct, develop and finesse short prose/flash fiction stories, with an emphasis on fusion between popular genres, subversion of convention, and techniques for miniaturising stories to try and enable you to craft nuggets of gold from the fundamentals of storytelling. The course will also advise on how to ‘sell’ these stories by exploring the fiction market and the literary realms of social media.
