Overview

The SVQ Level 3 - Modern Apprenticeship in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance at City of Glasgow College teaches the skills you’ll need to work as a domestic gas installer. The course content is based on standards set by the Sector Skills Council (Energy and Utility Skills).

You must be employed in the industry as on-the-job training and assessment are essential parts of the course.

What you study

The course covers all areas of domestic gas installation and maintenance on a range of appliances e.g. fires, cookers, meters, water heaters, central heating systems etc.

After the course

Careers

Successful candidates can apply for their Gas Safe Register card which will allow them to legally work domestic gas industry.
