How to Become a Student (Applying for admission)
Study at City of Glasgow College
Students can apply directly to the College or through an authorised representative.
We recommend applications are submitted at least two months prior to the term start date.
How to apply
Applicants must complete the online International Application Form in order to apply for the August 2012 intake. To apply online click here: http://www.cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk/apply/index.php
Upon completing the International Application Form, applicants will be invited to upload the following supporting documents:
- Copies of all relevant academic documents (transcripts in addition to award certificate)
- valid UK Border Agency approved Secure English Language Test certificate (eg. IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson Academic, Cambridge ESOL)
- Copy of passport (front cover, photograph page and visa page if applicable)
- Any other relevant immigration documents
*We may require evidence of relevant work experience for our Pre-Masters Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing programmes.
Please note that all correspondence from the College in relation to international applications will be conducted via email.
If you are submitting your application from overseas for the upcoming term it may take up to two weeks to assess (some programmes require an interview during our admission process.)
Successful applicants will receive a Conditional Offer Letter via email, which will give conditions on academia, tuition fees, deposit, date of payment, methods of payment and our refund policy.
Once your deposit has been received by the College, a Confirmation of Acceptance Studies known as a CAS (Unconditional Offer) will be issued. Your CAS statement must be presented to the nearest British Embassy/ High Commission in order to obtain UK Entry Clearance (visa) under the Tier 4 (General) category.
* Please note that for courses of less than six months in length, the College will normally issue a Student Visitor Visa letter which will allow you to apply for a Student Visitor Visa.
