Scots first as college joins parents' council City of Glasgow College has became the first further education institution to join the Scottish Parent Teacher Council. Scotland’s largest college signed an agreement with the national body for parents’ groups in schools to build awareness of the opportunities available at the college and ensure parents and guardians understand the support available for their children. College awards fellowships City of Glasgow College has appointed three Honorary Fellowships for outstanding contribution and inspirational strategic leadership. Eric Tottman-Trayner, Captain Nigel John Palmer OBE and Peter Finch were recognised for helping establish Scotland’s largest college. The three men were previously chairmen of the Boards of Management for Central, Nautical and Metropolitan colleges respectively before joining to form a shadow board for the new merged college.
