Scots chef goes back to college

Top Scots chef Andrew Fairlie has dished out Michelin-starred advice to students at the college.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Rothesay met with young people completing
The Prince’s Trust’s Get into Cooking programme on Thursday 10th May 2012,
to see his charity’s work in action.  Accompanied by Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Rothesay, the Royal couple visited City of Glasgow College to spend time with young people during their training before meeting with leading figures from Glasgow’s hospitality scene.

Celebrating Success

Successful completion of the Microsoft Office Specialist certification by our
students in National Certificate course level 6- Technical Support and Software Development.

The students and staff worked very hard to achieve the certification and in recognition of that, Prodigy have presented our College with the prestige’s award for the first centre of excellence in Scotland for Microsoft Office Specialist training.

Charity Fund Raising

Our NC Computing Technical Support Level 5 students from North Hanover Street Campus raised £407 for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) Charity as part of their enterprise class.

The students achieved this by organising a raffle, designing and making their own T-Shirts and organising a pool tournament.

From Paisley to Harvard

A former City of Glasgow College student set for the world’s top university, which counts U.S President Obama among its impressive list of alumni.

Jujhar Dhanda, from Paisley, is set to spend a year at the internationally renowned Harvard Law School after beating off stiff competition from all around the UK to win the prestigious Kennedy Scholarship.
