College awards fellowships
City of Glasgow College has appointed three Honorary Fellowships for
outstanding contribution and inspirational strategic leadership.
Eric Tottman-Trayner, Captain Nigel John Palmer OBE and Peter Finch were recognised for helping establish Scotland’s largest college.
The three men were previously chairmen of the Boards of Management for
Central, Nautical and Metropolitan colleges respectively before joining to form a shadow board for the new merged college.
Mr Tottman-Trayner was the first ever chairman of the City of Glasgow College board and held the position until last month when he was succeeded by former First Minister Henry McLeish.
David Caldwell, former secretary of the new board, received an Associate
Fellowship.
