Evening and Saturday Courses
The College offers a wide range of Evening and Saturday classes. You can apply through our online application form which will be available from July 2011.
Individual Learning Accounts
If you have an ILA you can use this to pay for your evening/weekend course. Contact the College direct. You must have your ILA set up in order to use it. An individual Learning Account (ILA) is available from ILA Scotland.
If you earn up to £22,000 a year ILA Scotland will provide you with up to £200 a year which you can use to pay for your evening or weekend classes. Once the College has processed your ILA you will receive a Learning Token from ILA which you must provide to the College. Not all of our classes are eligible for ILA’s, please call the Student Infomation and Funding Team on 0141 566 6216 for further information. Fee Waiver
If you are on benefits, you may not be required to pay courses fees This is called a fee waiver. To book a fee waiver place telephone Student Services on 0141 566 6216/1501. A £5 deposit will secure your fee waiver place, if available, and is refunded on enrolment. Places will be held for 5 working days to allow you to provide proof of your eligibility. Benefits documents must be up to date within the last 3 months. More information on fee waivers is available from our Finance Department on 0141 566 4125.
Company Booking
If your employer is paying for your course please provide your employers name and address when booking. We will ask you to fax authorisation to 0141 566 6226 on company letterhead stating your details, the course you have booked, the associated course fee and confirmation of payment by your employer. An invoice will then be sent to your employer.
Withdrawals and Refunds
The College charges a non-refundable administration fee of 20% should you choose to withdraw from the class before it commences. If you choose to withdraw once a course has commenced, then no refunds are available.
Cancellations
All classes are subject to sufficient numbers of students enrolling and can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the date on which the class is due to begin. If a class is cancelled your fee will be refunded in full. If a class is cancelled due to bad weather we will inform local radio stations (Real Radio, Radio Scotland and Radio Clyde). We will do our best to timetable a class to replace any cancelled classes.
Parking
Our Cathedral Street and Riverside Campus car parks are open for evening class students and there are some limited spaces at our North Hanover Street campus. Spaces can be pre book for those with mobility difficulties. Please let us know when you book your course if you wish us to pre book a space. Other campuses have street parking.
The location of your course will be given on the confirmation letter sent after you have booked a place. Please read this carefully. The College has 11 buildings and it is important that you know where to attend. This information will also be on this website. Details of room numbers and location will be posted at or near the entrance to the College.
