What is a MCA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) qualification?
MCA or Maritime & Coastguard Agency qualification courses prepare you for examinations for Certificates of Competency. They are appropriate for Deck Officers and Maritime Engineer Officers in the Merchant Navy, Deck Officers and Maritime Engineer Officers for Fishing Vessels and Yacht Engineer Officers. Certificates of Equivalent Competency are awarded for Merchant Ships and Fishing Vessels.
