Extended Learning Support (ELS)

If you need a little help with your studies, we're proud to offer Extended Learning Support (ELS) to those with:

  • Physical or mobility issues.
  • A medical condition or illness.
  • Visual or hearing impairments.
  • Specific learning differences, eg dyslexia, dyspraxia or dyscalculia.
  • Autism spectrum disorder.
  • Mental health issues.
  • Social, emotional or behavioral difficulties.

Our experienced staff can offer help with:

  • Study support in one-to-one or small group settings.
  • Study skills, techniques and strategies.
  • Assessment arrangements.
  • Dyslexia screening.
  • Training in specialist equipment and software.
  • The loan of equipment and ICT hardware.
  • Assessment and exam preparation and advice.
  • Reader, scribe or support worker in class.
  • Application for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).

To ensure that we can provide the support you need, please mention any requirements at an early stage, eg on your application, or at your interview or enrolment.

We have Learning Support bases at our City Campus and Riverside Campus. You can pop in and see us from Monday to Friday between 8.45 am and 4.45 pm.
