  • Masters Orals Preparation Course.
  • Chief Mates Full HND Course - This course is designed for students to progress from OOW level (deck) to Chief mates/Master level. The course requires that you should have held an MCA approved OOW certificate and have served in that position at sea for a period of at least 12 months. You will also complete the following short courses: HELM Management & NAEST Management.  You will achieve an HND in Nautical Science and obtain a Chief Mate Certificate of Competency. The course overall will equip you to become a competent and efficient Chief Mate.
  • Chief Mates Post HND Course - The course will allow you to progress to the Chief Mates and Master level and achieve the relevant (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency. The course is designed for you if you have successfully completed an HND in Nautical Science in the UK and have accrued at least 12 months of sea service, after obtaining your OOW UK COC (Unlimited), by having sailed in that capacity. The following short courses form integral elements of the course - HELM Management & NAEST Management.
  • Chief Mates HND Distance Learning.
  • Nautical Studies Tutorial - These structured tutorial classes, delivered in the run up to the written exams, cover areas relevant to the MCA written syllabus. In addition to this evening support, students will be allowed to attend the day classes should they wish to do so.
