Build a Better Workforce

What is a Modern Apprenticeship?

MAs are funded through Skills Development Scotland and offer employers an opportunity to train new employees or upskill existing staff. They cover a huge range of job types and industry sectors and apprentices will work towards an industry-recognised qualification, bringing in new skills and ideas to your business.

At City of Glasgow College, we offer a range of Modern Apprenticeship programmes. These include:

•    Hairdressing and Barbering.
•    Procurement.
•    Creative and Digital Media.
•    Diploma in Community Arts.
•    ICT.
•    Maritime Operations.
•    Hospitality.
•    Social Services and Healthcare.
•    Social Services Children and Young People.
•    Business and Administration.

What salary should I offer?

You are responsible for paying the MAs wages. The average salary offered over the past year was £9,786 per year.
