Overview

The CIPD Foundation Level Certificate in Human Resource Practice at City of Glasgow College is a foundation-level course in the most recognised human resources qualification. It’s the ideal course for you if you work in a generalist, or specialist personnel, or HR position.

On completion, you’ll gain the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in Human Resource Practice and gain Associate Membership of the CIPD - the first professional grade of membership.

You will be required to become a student member of the CIPD (cost in 19/20 = £135.00). The CIPD will contact you direct after you start on the course.

Please note there are three full days of skills-based workshops (January, March and May) and an additional 7/8 evening attendances required across the academic year.

Minimum entry requirements

  • Entry to this course is based on the content of the application form with particular attention on work history and the personal statement. Sometimes an interview is required.
  • Ideally already in or aspiring to a Human Resources role.
  • If English isn’t your first language you’ll need to provide evidence that you’ve achieved ESOL Intermediate Level 2 (or equivalent).
