Overview

This course is suited to those who have previous experience in painting and decorating and would like to further develop their skills. On this course, you will cover a variety of sought-after industry requirements from preparing a variety of surfaces for decoration to producing decorative finishes.

This course runs for 6 months from January - June.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Diploma in Painting and Decorating at SCQF Level 5.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • City and Guilds Diploma in Painting and Decorating at SCQF Level 4 or equivalent; OR
  • One National 4 qualification preferably in English, Mathematics or a Science subject; OR
  • Relevant industrial experience.

Additional selection requirements

  • Your application will be reviewed and a decision will be made based on your qualifications, work experience and personal statement.

ESOL entry requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum ESOL Intermediate level 2 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher for HNC/D courses.
