Overview

Are you a beginner and want to learn the basics? This course will focus on teaching you the leading commercial accounting software package, SAGE Line 50. You'll learn a range of topics from data input to the production of financial statements.

You don’t need any formal qualifications or experience for this course.

What you study

You'll cover the complete cycle of accounts preparation, from data input to trial balance.

After the course

Careers

Successful students have, in the past, gone on to complete one of our Accounting courses and gained employment as an accountant. Our students have also been recognised by Glasgow's International Financial Services District (IFSD) for achieving top marks in their studies.  With experience and training, you could become an accounting technician and take on more complex work.

Continuing Study

After successful completion of the College Certificate in Computerised Accounting, you can apply for the College Certificate in Book Keeping and then the College Certificate in Computerised Payroll.

You can apply for one of the Accounting PDAs or the HNC Accounting after successful completion of the three college certificates.
