Overview
Cooking for Friends is the ideal class if you like to entertain at home. Delight your friends and family with restaurant quality food at your next special meal. Dinner parties are a great way of catching up with people and on this course, we'll teach you preparation techniques and tricks of the trade to make sure you're not stuck in the kitchen all night.
You will learn to cook everything from soups, breads, starters, fish and meat main courses, puddings and desserts.

- This is a fun leisure class for amateur cooks to learn different cookery styles and skills - so there are no formal requirements.

Importantly, you’ll learn how to provide top quality food without being stuck in the kitchen all night!

Teaching
How the course is taught
- Everything is demonstrated and explained at a fun pace.
- The first night will be a practical demonstration by the lecturer and recipes will be issued.
- You will need to buy ingredients to bring in with you every week.
- There will be lecturer led demonstrations every week and also the chance to ask any questions and taste the food.
Additional Information
Materials
All equipment is provided. You'll need containers to take your food home in.
Each week your lecturer will hand out a recipe which will provide your list of ingredients you need to buy for the following week.
Dress code
- Appropriate clothing and footwear for the kitchen.
- Apron to protect your clothing.
- Tea towel for drying dishes.
