Overview

The Creative Patisserie summer school has been designed to provide a platform to experiment and develop skills in the creation of a range of Patisserie products including Artisan Bread, Entremet Gateau, Pulled and Blown Sugar display, Chocolate Bonbons, French Macarons and Plated Desserts.  A day trip to Edinburgh is planned that will include a cream tea at one of the city’s top hotels.

The course will provide you with “hands-on” experience of working in a commercial kitchen environment.  You will have use of the industry standard facilities in our teaching studios, kitchens and workshops.

At the end of the course, you will leave with a display piece of your own work and recipes of all the items you have produced.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • There are no minimum entry requirements for the College’s Summer Schools.  You must have a basic level of competence in English as the course will be delivered in English.

What you study

Under the direction of award winning pastry chefs you will create your own Patisserie products.  The course offers a unique opportunity to enhance current skills and to develop new techniques and knowledge that can be used to impress friends and family or even provide the motivation to use new skills professionally and commercially.
