Overview

The course will include an introduction to print processes, this will include lino printing, mono printing and drypoint printing. You will be guided through the processes where you will gain a basic knowledge of the techniques covered but an independent exploration is also encouraged.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

No previous experience of printmaking is necessary, but an interest in drawing is useful. Alternatively you may have some previous experience and wish to renew and develop your knowledge.

Teaching

How the course is taught

The course will be taught with a range of creative demonstrations and workshops to inspire individuals to start their creative journey. The workshops are delivered in an informal and supportive way, so take this opportunity to learn with like-minded individuals in a friendly environment.

Additional Information

Materials

Please bring: pencils, sketchbook/notebook, drawings/photographs to work from, lino cutting tools if you have them and an apron. The course fee includes most consumables (inks, cleaning materials etc) but you will have to provide your own paper, lino blocks and drypoint plastic. You will be advised on materials by the tutor.
