Overview

This course aims to develop your experience in working the reflexes of the foot, helping you to develop an impression of the client’s health.  You are required to wear a tunic and trousers as this is a practical class.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • There are no formal entry requirements, but you must complete Anatomy and Physiology before you can progress to Reflexology.
  • If English isn’t your first language you’ll need to provide evidence that you’ve achieved ESOL Intermediate Level 2 (or equivalent).

You should equal your class time with self-study and/or skills practice at home.

  • Holistic Approaches to Mind, Body and Spirit.
  • Theory of Reflexology and How it Works.
  • Care of Individuals eg. Children, Diabetics, the Frail.
  • Client Care and Professional Ethics.
  • Practical Preparation.
  • Reflexology Techniques.
  • Hygienic Precautions.
  • Record Keeping.
  • Zones and Mapping of the Hands and Feet.
  • Condition of the Feet, eg. Corns, Athletes Foot, etc.
  • Contra-indications.
  • Client Reactions to Treatment.

After the course

You can apply for positions within the industry or you could provide treatments as a self-employed reflexologist.
