    This course prepares you for a career in the communication industry. You'll develop an understanding of the nature and function of advertising and public relations, within a wider marketing and marketing communications framework. You'll also learn how to communicate effectively in this environment.

    The course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8. 

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • Successful completion of a full-time HNC Advertising and PR course with 15 credits.

    Additional selection requirements

    • You'll be invited for a group and/or individual interview, where you'll get the opportunity to find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in the subject.

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum ESOL Intermediate level 2 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher for HNC/D courses.

    Successful completion of the HND can lead to third-year entry in the following university courses:

    • Napier University: Communications, Advertising and Public Relations
    • Queen Margaret University: PR and Media, PR and Marketing
    • The University of Stirling: BA (Hons) Marketing

    As well as first or second-year entry on to other courses throughout Scotland and England, and entry to private advertising schools.
