Overview

This programme will develop your knowledge and skills in screen printing.  This is an exciting way to increase your understanding of printmaking or taking your first steps into the world of screen printing.  Escorted visits to exhibitions will be facilitated by your tutor who will also provide opportunities to discuss the work on display.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • There are no minimum entry requirements for this Summer School.  You need to have a basic level of competence in English as the course will be delivered in English.
  • If you come from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) you need to follow the guidance provided for visas.

What you study

You will have the opportunity to take part in screen print classes. This will allow you to explore your creativity and learn new techniques to express your own ideas including screen printing, mark making and mono screen printing.

You will have the use of great facilities in our workshops. You will create a portfolio of prints guided by your tutor in a fun and productive environment. The tutor will be an experienced printmaker.  The workshop sessions will be supported by the cultural visits to local galleries and places of interest that will help inform future prints.

CONTINUING STUDY

You will be able to find out about other part-time and full-time courses provided by the College that may be of interest such as Art and Design, Graphic Design, Printmaking and Illustration.

Additional Information

Materials

You will be supplied with A5, and A3 sketch books, drawing materials, pencils, charcoal, conte crayons, inks, drawing papers, quality painting papers, acrylic paints and brushes.
