Overview

On this course, you'll study the practical and theoretical aspects of Plastering, which will prepare you for working in the Construction Industry. You'll also develop transferable skills such as numeracy and efficient working practices which will help you to get a job in this field.

You'll receive a National Progression Award in Construction from Scottish Qualification Authority on successful completion of this course; this is a recognised National Qualification in Construction.

This course runs for 5 months from August to December.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • You must demonstrate an interest in Plastering; OR
  • Experience in a building related occupation; OR
  • One National 4 level qualification, preferably in English, Maths, or a Science subject or equivalent; OR
  • Industry experience.

  • You'll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in this subject area.

ESOL entry requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum ESOL Intermediate level 2 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher for HNC/D courses.
