Overview

You'll receive a National Progression Award in Construction from Scottish Qualification Authority on successful completion of this course; this is a recognised National Qualification in Construction.

This course runs for 6 months from January - June.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • You must demonstrate an interest in wall and floor tiling; OR
  • Experience in a building related occupation; OR
  • One National 4 level qualification, preferably in English, Maths, or a Science subject or equivalent; OR
  • Industry experience.

You'll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in this subject.

  • Fundamentals of wall tiling.
  • Fundamentals of floor tiling.
  • Basic pattern work.
  • Basic Cement Work.
  • Basic cutting, shaping and fixing.
  • Numeracy.
  • Sustainability.
  • Construction Occupation Practices.
