Overview

With a growing economy in digital technologies and a requirement for a workforce to be skilled in technical roles NQ Computing (Level 6) provides a platform to develop your technical computing skills. This course will provide you with practical and theoretical skills in a range of vital subject areas and prepare you for progression to higher level HN computing based programmes within the college.

The course is delivered by highly qualified computing lecturers who have experience within the industry.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • Three National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics or Numeracy; OR 
  • Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

After the course

Careers

You can expect to gain a position in computing after completing further study or progress on to HN computing and technology related courses.

Continuing Study

Students can go on to study a Higher National level course. The most common are our HNC Technologies into Business, Web Development and Design. You may be accepted onto other computing-related courses.
