Overview
This course is an all encompassing course for those looking to further their knowledge of construction but may not have decided on a specific trade. It will provide basic knowledge of many trades, allowing you to figure out what direction you want to take your construction career.
This course offers you practical, transferable skills and theoretical knowledge of the Construction Industry to help you find a job.
This course will run from August - December 2021.

Entry requirements
Minimum entry requirements
- One National 3 qualification or;
- Other equivalent construction based qualifications or experience.

- You'll be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you can find out more about the course and tell us why you're interested in this subject area. Where COVID restrictions are in place we will invite you to either a video meeting, telephone conference call or make an offer based on your application form.
ESOL entry requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum ESOL Intermediate level 2 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher for HNC/D courses.What you study

- Working with Wood - Hobbies.
- Basic Bricklaying.
- Half Brick Walling - An Introduction.
- Construction Numeracy.
- Construction Measurement and Costs.
- Information Communication Technology.
- Communications.
- Construction Drawing.
After the course
Careers
This course prepares you for a career within the Construction Industry.
Continuing Study
Successful completion of this course would allow progression onto any of the NPA (National Progression Awards) within the construction department.
