Overview

This is a full time construction course delivered by highly qualified lecturers who have a wealth of experience within the industry. 

You'll study practical and theoretical units covering aspects of carpentry and joinery. You'll also have the opportunity to develop transferable skills which are important if you want to gain employment within the Construction Industry (please see the 'What You Study' section, below, to find out more).

This is a college devised course and on successful completion candidates will receive certification on all successfully achieved units from the Scottish Qualifications Authority.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • Two Standard Grades at General Level including English, Mathematics, Science based subject or equivalent; OR
  • Two National 4 level qualifications, preferably English, Mathematics, Science based subject or equivalent; OR
  • Personal experience.
  • You will be invited for a group and/or individual interview where you will get the opportunity to find out more about the course and tell us why you are interested in this subject area.
