Overview

  • Do you want to know more about pensions?
  • Do you struggle to understand the basics about pensions?
  • Are you unsure about pension benefits?
  • Do you want to understand the basics of a defined benefit pension?

This short course is designed to enable you to understand pension provision in the United Kingdom and the use of pension schemes.   It is primarily intended for people who are wanting to up-skill their own knowledge of pensions to help them understand pension ‘jargon’ and what it means for them and their retirement.

PLEASE NOTE: The course is for general interest and will provide a general overview of pensions.   There will be no personal financial advice provided regarding the type of pension or investment you may choose to plan for your retirement.  You should seek an appointment with an independent financial advisor to discuss your individual circumstances.   This course will provide you with the knowledge to understand pensions in a little more detail than ‘the average person’ but will not provide you with the qualifications required to become a pensions advisor.
