Overview

If you are an engineer who needs to meet the requirements of the Building Regulations Approved Document G (section G3), this scheme is for you.  The regulations require that a hot water storage vessel with a capacity of more than 15 litres, which does not incorporate a vent pipe to atmosphere, should be installed, commissioned, inspected and serviced by a competent person.

The unvented hot water identity card that is issued is recognised by Building Regulations Approved Document G (section G3) and accepted by Local Building Control as evidence of competence.

Minimum entry requirements

  • Industry experience Cat 1 or 2 applicants for all aspects Cat 3 no industry experience.
