Student getting advice from Student Services

Support for International students

We want you to enjoy your studies and experience with us at City of Glasgow College. That's why we have a range of support to help you settle into life in Glasgow and at College.  Check out our Survival Guide on our Students’ Association page for tips on getting around Glasgow and our International Student Hub which includes advice on how to set up bank accounts and register with a GP in your first weeks of college.

If you need help with your course work or your assessments, please speak to your lecturer, tutor or support staff member as soon as possible.  It can feel uncomfortable raising issues around your learning or personal progress but college staff are here to help you get the best grades possible and need to know if you are experiencing any barriers.

Induction sessions will be held by academic and international teams to welcome you to the college and to Glasgow, and will provide information regarding support, registration, accommodation, shopping, living expenses etc.

There are many opportunities to get involved in societies, events and activities throughout the year during your time at college. There may be opportunities to attend events and visit different places around Scotland. You can find out more by visiting the Students’ Association where staff and students representing you can have a chat about some of these opportunities.
