City of Glasgow College Student Wins Top Financial Award

Carli Daniels, from Knightswood in Glasgow, has been recognised by Glasgow’s International Financial Services District (IFSD) for achieving top marks in her studies. 

Carli was one of seven students presented with a certificate and £250 at an awards ceremony for the IFSD Glasgow Student Awards 2016. She was nominated by City of Glasgow College after achieving her HNC at the college in Financial Services.

Carli is now looking for a trainee role with a Financial Services company and aims to undertake more qualifications with a view to working as a Financial Advisor.

The awards programme was established by the IFSD Partnership to highlight the wealth of talented graduates emerging from Glasgow’s colleges and universities, prepared for careers in financial services.

Presenting the award to Carli, Kevin Rush, Head of Economic Development at Glasgow City Council said:

“Many congratulations to Carli on her achievement. These awards recognise the great work being done by the universities and colleges in Glasgow and the relationships they have with the financial services sector to ensure a steady pipeline of well qualified graduates to work in the industry”.
