College procurement team aims for two in a row

City of Glasgow College is in the running for Procurement Team of the Year at the 2020/21 GO Awards Scotland.

It is the only Scottish college to reach the finals of what are regarded as Scotland’s leading public procurement excellence awards.

The college’s procurement team are hoping for two in a row. They won in last year’s Supplier Relationship Management category for putting sustainability first and demonstrating excellent collaborative practices.

Deborah Fagan, Procurement Manager at City of Glasgow College, said:

“We are delighted to be shortlisted once again at GO Awards Scotland, and particularly for Team of the Year. It is a resounding endorsement of our team’s continuing hard work and commitment, and demonstrates their resilience and adaptability through these challanging times.”

The Procurement Team of the Year Award recognises the power and potential of a focused and unified approach to procurement. Above all, it acknowledges leadership, communication, innovation, collaboration, employee development and a collective team ethic and approach to deliver excellence in public services.

The GO Awards Scotland celebrate the achievement and success of procurement teams across public, private and third sector organisations. The winners will be announced at a ceremony which this year will delivered as an interactive, online event on the afternoon of 6 November 2020.
