College students benefit from telecoms partnership

Three students at City of Glasgow College have started high quality work placements with telecommunications specialist, Exchange Communications.

Mike McGregor, Aidan Cheung, and Xander Parle are the first to benefit from the recently launched partnership between the college and the telecoms firm.

Exchange sponsors the college’s SQA computer networking programme providing industry insights for students through on-site work experience, guest speaker slots, and the donation of equipment.

Speaking about the partnership, Exchange Communications’ Managing Director, Tom Sime said:

“We’re looking forward to working closely with the three students and aim to foster strong links with all those enrolled on the computer networking course, bolstering their industry insight and creating a strong partnership that will reap rewards on both sides.
