Principal responds to Level 4 Restrictions

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon today announced that, in response to the current infection rate of Coronavirus, City of Glasgow and 10 other local authority areas are to move to the highest level of Covid-protection.

Level 4 restrictions will take effect from 1800 hours on Friday 20 November.

Principal Paul Little said:

"My overarching priority remains your safety and wellbeing and that of our staff and students so our decisions will continue to be based on those important considerations.

"Colleges moving into Level 4 are awaiting more detailed clarification from the Scottish Government on the implications of this reclassification, including any travel restrictions across other local authorities. We anticipate receiving that tomorrow.

"We will, of course, share with you more details on the impact of moving to Level 4 and how it affects our College as soon as possible.

"Once again Team City, thank you for your professionalism, and your hard work to Let Learning Flourish during these challenging times."
