Overview

The course offers you a unique opportunity to enhance your knowledge and understanding of British cuisine.  You will expand your knowledge of UK cooking techniques in creating popular and traditional British recipes.  

You will see culinary skills in action, engaging with top chefs across our teaching team at the College and use the world class, industry standard facilities at City of Glasgow College.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • There are no minimum entry requirements for this Summer School.  Those who attend need to have a basic level of competence in English as the course will be delivered in English. 
  • Participants from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are required to follow the guidance provided for visas.

What you study

You will learn some basic and advanced cooking techniques and participate in practical cooking classes in our state of the art, industry standard kitchens during your time at the college.

You will learn to make mains including Steak Diane and Chunky Chips; Pork Pies; Fish Cooking and Prep; BBQ Prep and Marinades; Duck Breast.  Desserts will include Sticky Toffee Pudding.

You will spend an afternoon visiting a top restaurant.
