British Sign Language (BSL)

British Sign Language (BSL)

If you are a British Sign Language (BSL) user, you can contact City of Glasgow College using Contact Scotland BSL

Contact Scotland BSL is a Scotland-wide service delivered by Sign Language Interactions on behalf of the Scottish Government. It allows you to make phone calls to people who do not use BSL by getting online support from a trained BSL interpreter. This is known as a video relay service.

Contact Scotland BSL can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All BSL users are welcome at the college and communication support will be put in place for you. You will have a Communication Support Worker or a Registered/Trainee Sign Language Interpreter in class with you and a dedicated Learning Support and Development Advisor who will be your first point of contact during your college journey.

A Communication Support Worker or Registered/Trainee Sign Language Interpreter will also be available out with class time to assist you to attend events such as Students' Association activities, learning support appointments and if required meetings with your faculty.
