Overview

Designed for pupils in the senior phase of their education, ESOL for Schools is aimed at non-native speakers of English who want to improve their English language abilities.    

This course will develop your English language skills, including more complex reading, writing, listening and speaking tasks. Students will consolidate and expand their grammatical knowledge. 

Attendance Pattern

Tuesday and Thursday (1.30pm – 4pm).

   

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

Applicants should hold National 3 ESOL or equivalent or have pre-intermediate level proficiency in English language.   

Applicants will be required to undertake and English level test, to ensure the course is at the correct level to meet their needs. 

What you study

ESOL for Schools is designed to allow pupils to achieve National 4 ESOL (intermediate level) within one academic session. 

After the course

Careers

This course will allow students to develop their language skills for future careers.

Continuing Study

This course will allow students to develop their language skills and prepare them to study ESOL at National 5 level.    

National 5 level ESOL is a general requirement for College courses at levels 5 and 6.
