It's a students' life

Student life can be a time of getting involved in the politics of being a student too. That’s where our college’s Students’ Association comes in. Based in the second floor of City campus, and the ground floor of Riverside campus, it provides a welcoming, inclusive environment with helpful advice on a range of subjects.

Everyone over the age of 16 who is enrolled at the college is automatically a member of the City of Glasgow College Student’s Association – CitySA. It is run by an elected team of students with a presidential team and student executive committee. There are many ways of becoming involved, as a Class Rep, Faculty Rep, a member of the student executive or event Student President which is a full-time, paid position.

Elections are held throughout the year and the decision making is in the students’ hands.

It’s not all politics though as CitySA spaces also provide well-equipped entertainment facilities including pool tables, table tennis, games consoles and PCs. There’s a wide range of societies and sports clubs to join or you might fancy getting some media experience by helping at City Radio, the student radio station.

Our leisure facilities are just as impressive as the ones for learning, and it’s all part of enhancing the student experience – to make it the best years of your life.
