About This Course:
This course will show you how to design and make garments for fashion or costume. You'll need your own workbook to make notes and sketch ideas, a basic hand sewing kit and your own fabrics - your tutor will help you choose these. The college provides sewing machines and an iron to press and fix work.
What You Need:
You'll learn basic dressmaking skills and sewing techniques as well as more experimental textile design and fabric manipulation. Remodelling existing garments and fabric collage techniques will also be taught.
