Overview

These qualifications are designed for managers and leaders with authority and responsibility for developing and implementing a coaching and mentoring strategy across the organisation. These qualifications require managers and leaders to build on their strategic management and leadership skills to focus on the requirements of embedding the organisation’s strategy. For the Award, delegates need to complete and pass a single unit. For the Certificate, delegates must complete and pass two units.

The units covered are:

• Coaching and mentoring within organisational culture.
• Leadership coaching and mentoring skills.

Delegates will explore the subject through a mix of training materials and guided discussions/class exercises.

Duration

• Award: 4 days / 8 half days plus online/self-study over 2 months.
• Certificate: 8 days / 16 half days plus online/self-study over 6 months.

Certification

The CMI Level 7 Award / Certificate in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring will be issued to all successful delegates.

CMI does not specify entry requirements for these qualifications, but we will ensure that learners admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment.

These qualifications can be offered to learners from age 19. 

We will ensure learners are recruited with integrity onto appropriate qualifications that will:

• Meet their needs.
• Enable and facilitate learning and achievement.
• Enable progression.

There is a requirement for individuals to carry out self-directed learning as part of this course.
