    This Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) course is designed to give you direct entry into the third year of the BA degree programme in Business at Strathclyde Business School, a qualification highly regarded by employers. It is run as a collaboration between City of Glasgow College and the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

    This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8. 

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • Three Highers, Two at Grade B and One at Grade C in relevant* subjects including English AND two National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above including Mathematics; OR
    • Other equivalent qualifications or experience

    * relevant subjects include Administration, Business Management, Economics, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Studies or Natural Sciences.

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

    • ​Human Resource Management subjects: Work Organisational Psychology / Work. Psychology for Human Resource Management.

    After the course

    Careers

    This course prepares you for a career in marketing, legal services, management, human resources, administration in industrial and commercial sectors, teaching, public sector employment or research.

    Continuing study

    Successful students may progress on to third year of the BA Business at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow where you will study your two principal subjects from year two of the diploma.  You can also apply for courses at other universities.

    How the course is taught

    A mix of class lectures, tutorials and group tasks.

    Assessment methods

    You'll undertake a number of degree exams in January and May each year.  In addition course assessments will be undertaken throughout the year.
