Overview
The Level 2 Award in HACCP for Catering is a qualification aimed at caterers and other food handlers. The course is intended for candidates already working in catering and those who are preparing to work in the Industry. The course will be especially useful for those involved in maintaining HACCP in a catering environment and for those who are or will be part of a HACCP team.

Minimum entry requirements
There are no prerequisites for this qualification however, it is advised that learners already hold a REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
Please note that you will be required to provide ID to sit the assessment. A list will be provided on booking.
What you study
The qualification will enable you to understand the importance of implementing a food safety management system, based on the Codex HACCP principles, in a catering environment. You will learn your role in ensuring the effective operation of the HACCP system and gain the knowledge to identify, control and monitor hazards at points critical to food safety within your business.
You will also understand the importance of taking corrective action when critical limits are breached and become familiar with the documentation and records needed to support a HACCP system.

This qualification is assessed through a 30-question multiple-choice examination. You must achieve a score of at least 20 out of 30.
