This course develops the skills you need for television production.  The course will focus on the creative and practical skills required in single camera and studio production, while supporting practical experience of camera, sound, lighting, directing, editing and production management.

This creative, learner-focused course is delivered by highly professional teaching staff, with significant development and production experience and a proven track record of bringing out the best in their students.

If your application is successful you can apply for the STV and Royal Television Society (RTS) undergraduate bursary scheme.  In addition to funding, students attend networking and industry insight events, receive work placements and mentoring sessions, as well as the opportunity to establish a network of industry contacts.

On completion of the course, you will be awarded an HNC Creative Industries Television (SCQF Level 7) and you may be eligible for direct entry into the second year of HND Creative Industries Television (SCQF Level 8).

After successfully completing the HND you can apply for our BA (Hons) Television course to gain an Honours degree after a further two years of study.  Television is a competitive industry and progression to each course reflects that industry reality.
