Nadav Dar

I am a Scottish multidiscipline designer who thrives on experimentation across a wide range of creative practices. Over the last three years, I have continuously developed, refined and applied my printing industry skills in both professional and self-directed contexts. I am especially drawn to analogue processes. Both printing and mark making allow me to explore my instinctive interests in forms, shapes and textures. To which I can easily apply my digital skills to further explore this. I challenge and approach each project as an opportunity to test new methods and learn from different perspectives. Not following a single defined style allows my work to consistently reflect my passion for design. Pride and curiosity enable me to create thoughtful, expressive design responses.  

Project Description  

Our emotions have a great impact on our mental health and wellbeing, and it is important that we understand how to look after and manage them. Whorl is a toolkit designed to harness natural foundations to promote a healthier way of living. By building good habits and engaging in consistent, mindful exercises, users learn to recognise, articulate and communicate their emotions both to themselves and others. Whorl is envisioned as a meaningful presence in every young adult’s home: a practical, nurturing resource that supports emotional awareness, resilience and a brighter, more balanced way of life.
