COP26 and City of Glasgow College

For nearly three decades the United Nations has brought together almost every country on earth for annual global climate summits called COPs.  With the UK as President, it takes place in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November, and many believe this event to be the world’s last best chance to get climate change under control.

As Scotland’s largest college we are committed to playing our part in raising environmental awareness and inspiring climate action.

As part of the COP26 Green Zone throughout the 13 day summit City of Glasgow College will be hosted a range of events and activities across our twin site campus and online. Our events highlighted the action needed to tackle climate change and protect our planet.

Working in partnership

We’re excited to have partnered with Maritime UK, becoming the COP26 International Maritime Hub, and Climate Fresk, delivering workshops to raise awareness and educate students, staff and the general public about Climate change, throughout the COP26 summit.
