Student Sport

At City of Glasgow College, we aim to provide every student with the opportunity to participate or compete in various recreational and competitive sports and fitness classes.

Our core sports/fitness classes on offer consist of yoga, running, pickleball, football, futsal, basketball, badminton and volleyball, some of which are recreational, others competitive.  We are renowned as a leading college when it comes to sport and physical activity, evident through our membership numbers and performances of our sports teams/athletes.

To sign up for a recreational or competitive sports club, please complete the Recreational and Competitive Sports Form.  Please visit the Students Association website for more information and specifics about each of our sports.  We are affiliated to British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and Scottish Student Sport (SSS), the governing bodies that provide local and national tournaments, competitions and leagues.

We are proud to fund and support our student-athletes in various individual and team sports to represent the college at a national level.  For more information, please visit the Scottish Student Sport website.

Please ensure you contact our Sports Co-ordinator Andrew.Kirk@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk if you are planning to represent the college in any of these events.

Athletes can also apply for funding via the Winning Students 100 Award - applications close on the 13th of September with the awards announced towards the end of October.
