Student Sport

At City of Glasgow College, we provide every student with the opportunity to take part or compete in both recreational and competitive sport.

Our core sports on offer consist of athletics, football, futsal, basketball, netball, badminton, volleyball, dance and rugby, some of which are recreational, others competitive.  All of these sports regularly cater for both male and female participants.  We are also one of the few colleges in Scotland to engage students in sport regardless of their choice of study.  For more information about each of these sports please visit the Students Association website.

To become a member of any of our recreational sports clubs the first session is free, then if you wish to return, it is a one-off payment of £15 payable to the Finance Office at City campus on the 5th floor or Riverside campus on the ground floor.  To join a competitive team you will need to ensure you attend trials in September and if successful, a payment of £20 will cover you for the season ahead.  To sign up please complete this form.

We are affiliated to British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and Scottish Student Sport (SSS), the governing bodies that provide local and national tournaments, competitions and leagues.  We are proud to fund and support our student-athletes in various individual and team sports to represent the college at a national level.  For more information please visit the Scottish Student Sport website.
