COP26 Student Activity

Jewellery students with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon at the opening of the International Maritime Hub.

COP26 has provided many of our students with a fantastic opportunity to put their learning into practice.

Some of the highlights included:-

  • TV and journalism students interviewing Michael Matheson MSP, Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero, Energy and Transport.
  • Jewellery student, Aileen Dickie Adams, had the honour of designing and presenting Scotland’s First Minister with a brooch to wear at COP26.
  • Professional cookery, hospitality and events students helped to prepare and serve at a number of VIP dinners in the college’s training restaurant, Scholars.

It has taken work experience to a whole new level and been a valuable and enjoyable experience for all students involved.
