I am a multidisciplined Glasgow-based designer with a strong focus on ceramics, which has shaped much of my work over the past year.  With a background in Applied Arts, I’m drawn to exploring a wide range of materials and processes throughout each project. I primarily work in analogue techniques, but I continually push myself to integrate digital methods into my design process. My practice centres on clarity and refinement, stripping ideas back to their essentials to create work that feels effortless, minimal and thoughtfully resolved.

Project

Throughout this project, I have explored mindful movements from the method of Pilates. Rooted in the fundamental principles developed by Joseph Pilates, the practice offers a counterbalance to the fast-paced world that we live in, particularly the overwhelming pressures amplified by social media perfectionism. I used photography, ceramics and clear, accessible messaging to communicate the intention behind Pilates to those who want to learn the system without feeling intimidated. I aimed to strip the practice back to its essentials, placing accessibility at the forefront and creating an entry point that feels calm, grounded and approachable.
